will a 19x10 rim fit in the rear of our cars? 35mm offset?
Your more typical 8.5" wide wheel can have a maximum offset of 38mm, before a 245 or 255 tire hits the upright. This gives you a wheel with backspacing of
(8.5in x 25.4mm/in) / 2 + 38mm = 145.95mm
Assuming you are thinking of a 285 tire on that 10" wheel, then you don't want to increase that backspacing at all. You would want an offset of
145.95mm - (10in x 25.4mm/in) / 2 = 18.95mm
If you are running an narrower tire, it's possible that you could run a higher offset than 18.95mm to tuck it under the car a little more, but not much.
Either way, a 10" wheel will stick out beyond the bodywork a fair amount.
