For those with an intercooler upgrade, did it give the car more thrust....

Does it add or just keeps you from losing HP. I think its to keepp you from losing HP
Maybe like BPV's or a good TBB, doesnt add power just keeps the car from losing power.
I could be completely wrong about this as I usually am : )

You get a noticable increase in thrust from a chip, from an exhaust upgrade.....
the turbos spool allitle cooler but what you notice after driving is that the car no longer seems to run out of breath after 5800 RPM

That's pretty much the best way to look at it IMO.
Helps maintain your ability to use the power of the engine, does not increase it.
I've certainly never read any claim of more power. On the other hand, how could you even measure it, certainly not on a dyno.
