Why are many people selling their S4s?
Hi All,
Just wondering why everyone is interested in selling their S4? What would you replace it with?
As for me... I could sure use any advice you guys want to give me! I've decided to "take the beating" and get out of my 2003 Mustang Cobra (with a whopping 465 miles) because (believe it or not) I like my '97 A4 2.8QMS better! (The '03 Cobra is fast and handles reasonably well, but the lack of quality everywhere is just a source of frustration for me.) Unfortunately, to "absorb" the beating I'll take in depreciation, I'm looking to get into an Audi S4.
So... I'm looking at 2000/2001 S4s (both Tip and 6 speed.) Any advice on the best combination for longevity? My current A4 has 135,000 miles and is going strong... so I'd like to get an S4 and have it last for the same number of miles.

Really? Why is that? Isn't the new S4 coming out? Won't that make the B5 platform less desireable (compared to the V8 B6 platform?) Personally, I think the bi-turbo engine offers more tuning opportunities...

Not sure why...
But when I was at the dealership 2 weeks ago, the salesman asked me if i wanted to trade mine in. He said he had some customers looking for 2000-2002 S4's.
Might be due to the tune-ability of the 2.7T or even the (IMHO) better looking body style.
