Where's the heat-shield?
Installing a cone filter in the S4 engine bay (pic looks like a normally-aspirated 3.0 V6) doesn't seem like a great idea to me unless you rig up some sort of heatshield or cold-air box.
If you want something designed for the S4, look no further than AWE's S-Flo which is installed inside the factory airbox:
