Is the RS4 gear box the same ratio's as the S4? As well what are top speeds of both (redline6thgear)

uhmm... Do a search its in there.. Lets put it this way

there aren't many roads youd ever go this fast nor is it likely you will ever reach these speeds..

3rd and 4th are different ratios, that is all. The rest is identical.

S4 3rd:1.231:1 4th:0.967:1
RS4 3rd:1.320:1 4th:1.034:1

BTW, that is STRAIGHT from the horse's mouth (Getrag - they make the tranny for the S4 and RS4)

Does the horse's mouth comment go back to a certain debate here...

...where it was unequivocally insisted that the S4 has the 1.32 3rd and 1.03 4th gear, even though the speeds in gear computations did not work? If so, I seem to remember that. ;-)
