there are different people running different setups. Piggie's setups as of late have been x-chip,
4 bar (stock) fpr, and an mbc to limit boost and avoid the throttle cut.
some are running apr v5.0 with a 5 bar fpr.
some are running apr v5.0 with a 5 bar fpr.

i have heard about the x chip running with K04's just anticipating my K03's going south and want to see if i can get away with my current set up running K04's..don't want to put K03's back in..

My car is running fine. I have an A-box APR v5.0 with 5 bar (not sure if its necessary) Piggie....
Pipes and a VM3. I have done some logging and talked to APR about the K03 software on K04s. I told them that I was running rich (no EGT's above 700) and they basically told me to stick with the stock 4 bar FPR. I still have the 5 bar because I'd rather run rich than take the chance at leaning out the car. I think the car in stock mode pulls almost as hard as a K03 chipped car. I like the chipped mode especially though...but I'm trying to save my clutch (stock) so I'm leaving it in stock mode most of the time. The car feels VERY smooth. I really have no complaints other than my tiny *** stock ICs.

do you think version 3.3 would work with this set up? did you ask apr about using 3.3 on that set up. did the K04's bolt right up?

I had APR v3.3 for about 2 weeks with K04s...didn't really like it
Now that I've updated, its a lot nicer (read: smoother). As far as the K04s bolting up...I believe you are supposed to (well I did) buy the piping kit (usuallyt 300 bucks) unless it comes with the K04s you are buying. This is the inlets/gaskets/seals and whatnot. Some companies charge about 2400-2500 for everything and some other s charge 2000-2100 for the turbos and then sell the piping kit separate. ECS does the latter. I ordered mine from Brian...great shop over there...prompt and friendly.
