OK, what is a reasonable life span of an S4?
I am currently at almost 60K and I feel the car is still new in many senses, sure I put a RS4 clutch in and a few other repairs but the car feels good. I expect to replace wear items and the clutch is a wear item that in a sports car should be replaced every 50K. I am very committed to paying out at least 2K a year in upkeep, this does not bother me and seems reasonable. Is 250k miles an unreasonalbe expectation for this car? It seems like a very solid car unlike a Ford Probe GT my parents owned that exploded at less than 60k. I don't mind putting money into the car and will gladly uprate the turbos if the old ones ever blow. BTW I have been MTM chipped for about half the life of the car with no exhaust. This car is solid, I cleans up so well, the build quality is outstanding, I don't care if sensors blow here and there that is part of the experience 
So how many miles should I expect? Is 2K a year too much or too little for budgetting repair expenses? I know that some peeps already have 130k on their s4's = mileage ******.

You were unlucky then, did you have a 2000 that had turbos
assembled outsided of germany and had casting trash in them? I always thought that turbos would either blow or not, you my man were unlucky, sorry for you, hope warrenty covered. What else went wrong? You said first to go, what was second, third, ect....
I really think these are solid cars which had growing pains that are not representative of the overall population. If you put KO4's in you should have no issues except speeding tickets, and that why I live in CO with a PA license. Just pay to play

Pffttt... Not when it had 23k miles....... Stock.
I ran a chip for like 5k miles. I don't think I even had an exhaust.
Maybe after I did the first K04 setup it was driven hard... but in my defense, my tranny still runs like new at 63k miles.
