Default I still do not understand why our products are so overpriced...

I went with my cousin to buy an exhaust/downpipe combo. Apex 3" exhaust and HKS downpipes = $800!!! $550 for exhaust and $250 for downpipes! I understand we have Audi's so everything is overpriced and we as the consumer continue to buy it at that price but come on! A comparable set up for us would be about $2000 vs. $800.

because we bought $45K cars instead of $20K. They know we have more money to spend.

Default Exactly...Its not even like the 1.8T engine...there are very few

2.7t engines out there and out of the percentage out, very few owners modify them. Their downpipes and catback as we all know are unique. Its all about marginal cost.

Default This would be true if the 2.7T motor was not common place

And that the number of S4's sold is actually quite a bit.

Do the numbers for Supras, 3rd Gen RX7's etc. They are comparable, so the bs that is spouted about low volume, specialty niche etc.etc is BS. This car will be on the road for quite sometime, so will all the other 2.7T motors.

Your argument is therefore invalid

Stainless is stainless whether it's on a honda or an Audi. mandrels cost the same for the same radius bend for a lawn mower or an Audi.

$700 for a $5.00 Eprom is whack (look at Neuspeed, $300 or something right?).

$2500+ for parts that you can buy for $1500 in europe is also BS.

But hey it's the american way!

I had bought my previous 2 S4s as well as the Jetta. The C4s is my first lease.

Default I bet the percentage of Supra guys that mod their cars is a lot more then 2.7t people...you do make

valid points in regards to cost of metal and making bends. However with other parts I do believe the smaller market does contribute to higher pricing->mostly on the development end.

Default and HOW OLD are the Supra and 93-95 G3 RX7's?

if you want it that cheap, sit and wait a few years
OR, stop bitching and make it yourself and sell it to all of us
I mean if pipes are pipes, then show us all how it's done, for a profit
it's not that simple
