Get this damn phone outta here! (you want it:?)

I've posted this a couple times before but haven't found a good solution yet. Yes, I'm a noob to this board. YES, I did search the forums extensively before posting this the first time, and again this time.

I just bought a 97 2.8Q and it came with the Qualcom integrated phone. Problem is I don't have a Qualcom and if I did I wouldn't keep it around since 97! So, the bracket for this old heap is sticking out of my center instrument console and looking terrible. On top of that it rattles. The antenna for the phone is cemented to the back window (see pics). I'm looking for help getting the bracket out (pulling off the walnut trim first I'm guessing) and removing the antenna. I know at least one of you S4 gurus can help me. Thanks.

Lift up the flip top and release the phone cradle so it lifts up. You have to cut thru the four bent flat metal posts that hold up the phone cradle with a saw or bolt cutter. The metal is pretty soft. Then you can pop (pry) out the four pins that hold the cut legs with a large blade screw driver. Lever the pin towards the center of the console. Takes some ooomph. The instructions are in the audi repair manual cd also. Takes about 20 - 30 min.

I know the antenna is on with dble stick tape. A razor blade should do it..

For the front bracket......

You'll need to take out the radio, requiring the radio keys--as long as it's still OEM. With the radio out, you'll see two 8mm bolts holding in the trim that surrounds the radio, a/c head, and switches. Remove the two bolts, remove the trim, and you'll see what's holding in that phone bracket.

As for the rear antenna mount, it should come off with a razor blade & some patience. If you can't get it, call a windshield repair company(several in most local phone books), and they should be able to do the job for you fairly cheap.
