Are there any negatives to a stud conversion? Getting tired of fumbling with the wheel bolts.

I don't think so. jyoteen did it and never mentioned downsides that I'd seen.....

WYSIWYG on the A4 forum got his from 2bennett as well.
You can also get a metal version of the plastic stud in your emergency kit...the one you screw into the hub to keep the bolt holes aligned, and guide the wheel into place. The metal version is nice because it can support the weight of the wheel.

Do you use the plastic "stud" that's in the toolkit? That's all you really need.
Changing wheels is not all that difficult. Once the wheel is on that "stud," just push it onto the hub, and hold it with one hand while threading one of the real bolts with your other hand. Once that real bolt is on there, the wheel isn't moving.

I have converted both of my cars.
The only negatives are:
1. Wheel sStuds stick out slightly so they don't look quite as good as wheel bolts.
2. Wheel studs can develop a layer of rust that's needs brushed off occasionally. I'll probably coat mine with something but haven't gotten around to it.
