Good luck with that one. I have a feeling that there's some hush-hush to the hybrid community.
Kinda like when a new tuner comes on the market with some new software and the guinea pigs have issues that they keep quiet. Maybe it's a pride thing (spend some money, don't get good results) or a loyalty thing. Who knows? Either way, I wouldn't be surprised to see some failures that are being kept quiet for whatever reason.

Treated properly how, though? Free replacements or payment for labor also?
I'd be happy that I was getting replacements, but pissed that I had to pull the engine again. If I thought that they were perfect and found out that they weren't only after I ordered them, I would wish that the info was out there for the viewing...

The Manufacturer of my Hybrids heard plenty of my displeasure with having to do the job twice. There was some conjecture as to the cause of the failre. I contestested it was a Build issue, and their was some BS line I was fed about me not Pre-Oiling being the cause, (I crank primmed it) never the less I was provided with new units free of charge and the car is back on the road. I was doing the work myself. I'm not sure what would have transpired had I been paying someone to install. People that can't DIY swap shouldn't be installing big turbo's anyway.
I was 'taken care of' and I didn't feel it necissary to drag a Vendor through the dirt when from the first sign of trouble thier primary concern was getting my car up and running. I hope my toils saves both the Vendor and future customers some trouble.
