Default If your looking for Max Power, he's in the other boxes. D'oh!

The APR and AMS kits aren't really screamers. Yet. Apr may suprise us with some great power if their software update ever comes out, but knowing APR it will still err on the side of caution. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It just depends on what your'e looking for.

Default Wasn't there a problem with ABS being disabled converting A to M

since A box has no stability control? How was that solved?

Default A is tough... what do you want?

APR - good driver, low on power currently(M is their strong box), maybe an update coming.

AWE - better today, if Nick Gustas hadn't figured out how to run M code in an A box car they'd be lost/done on this ECU. Hear better things on it now, but the A box I worked on to get running great locally recently jumped to homebrew X/XR. M is better here as well.

Sportec - little data, little complaints, probably a decent choice, same can be said for MTM.

AMS - don't know of one, no data/logs like I have on the other options.

Who have I forgotten? For an A box I'd get some X and start tweaking or buy APR "shelf stuff" and complain until the make it as strong as their M code, at least it will drive like stock with the added HPs. Homebrews can be good - takes lots of work to make them fast and drivable though...

Default Nope, just set the ecu coding to no esp, if it's not already set that way.

I use ABS all the time.

He is the OG homebrew man. He was homebrew before we even thought to call it homebrew ;p

Default Yep

Thanks to Mike and Kurt for having the hardware to try, and Mike for knowing the code to make the 2000 instrument cluster talk properly to a "2001" ecu.

Default i want good linear power with reliability.. i am not really a wrench it yourself type of guy..

I am looking for the most power possible with the most reliability. I am currently leaning towards the awe fueling kit, but don't know how the a boxes are doing with that kit? I wish i had the time and the knowledge to tinker with different types of setups but I don't therefore i am just looking for a kit which is reliable and fast.
