PSA regarding Piggie MBC's
I've read a few accounts of people who have had trouble getting them to work at all (e.g. huge boost no matter what), and at first I had the same experience. After I fixed it, it works great. What I found is that when mine was shipped (from a 3rd party), the locking wheel came loose and the adjuster screw was almost all the way out. That allowed the ball bearings to come out of their positions. It jingled when I shook it and I figured that wasn't quite right.
I just needed to take a minute to disassemble and re-assemble it with the adjuster screwed in a ways.
Anyway, your Piggie MBC should not jingle like a burnt out lightbulb. And tighten that locking wheel down good.
Sorry if this is common knowledge, but I wasted quite a bit of time adjusting and retesting on the car before I figured it out.
I ran them MBC-only on my Autothority K03 code for a little while (no TCD at the time, so the fun only lasted a few seconds at a time =P) and in that configuration I couldn't believe how fast they spooled. If cruising above 3k, especially in 5th gear on down, it felt like an NA car. Power was instant.
Now I'm runnning in parallel, at least until my TCD and 5 bar FPR arrive (today or tomorrow, probably).
When messing with the MBC-only config I got a taste of what these things will be capable of as soon as the rest of the hardware gets here and I'm very excited. I will post more with logs when I'm finished getting it setup.
