Default Stage III- fueling/software question ???

I am leaning toward a KO3/16 setup and trying to sort out final fueling options. I have been planning to run initially on GIAC-X with a MBC and TCD, but am considering moving to XR or the new code.

I had planned to go with a 5bar (or crushed 4bar) FPR and Greentops with a 83mm MAF, but am getting the impression that this may be overkill and I could go with one or the other.

Although performance is a consideration, I will give a little to get driveablity and reliabiity.

My question, if I don't want to spend every spare minute tweaking my car should I run:
1. 5bar and Greentops
2. 5bar stock injectors
3. 4bar (stock) and greentops.

The cost between these three options is not an issue, I just want to be able to run at reasonable boost levels (X/XR/or the stage III- if it gets developed) boost without getting too lean without tweaking.

Thoughts are appreciated. Telling me I am an idiot is OK too.

Default 5 bar with Greentops is WAY too much fuel.

If you install a larger MAF housing, you'll probably either want greentops with the stock FPR or bluetops (36# injectors) with the 5bar FPR.

If you aren't planning on running that much boost (say 15-16psi at redline), then you'd probably be fine with the stock MAF and injectors and just a 5bar FPR to add a bit more fuel.

You definitely don't want to do the greentops with the stock MAF.

Default So it sounds like for what I am trying to accomplish you would recommend

stock injectors, 5bar and MBC at 1.3-1.4 bar?

36 lb/hr (378 cc/min) @ 3 bar.

Default MBC only at 1.4 bar is too much airflow for the stock MAF.

Needs to taper to 1.0-1.1 bar or it'll be maxing out the MAF sensor.

If you want to run 1.4 bar flat, you'll need to upgrade the MAF housing and run bigger injectors and a TCD/MBC.

I meant MBC in parallel to control spike, won't the boost taper to that level anyway on Xor XR?

Default Boost will taper if the MBC is installed in parallel with the N75.

If you install the MBC by itself then boost won't taper and you'll likely get throttle cut from the devation between actual and requested if you don't have TCD installed.

But with the MBC in parallel, you can limit the spike and have boost taper with requested.
