Default K04 question per. HPA's implementation...

Does anyone have any idea what these 'hybrid k04's' might be they use on the R32 biturbo kit:

Stage 1:
2 Hybrid K04 turbochargers with oversized exhaust housings.
Velocity tuned HGP Exhaust Manifolds
Twin 52mm Down pipes
Compression reducing head plate (8.0:1)
Hi-Flow HGP short runner cast aluminum Intake Manifold
Dual Side mount intercoolers
Proprietary Silicon Boost piping.

Proprietary Hi-Flow formed Silicon and Stainless piping
Hi flow fuel injectors
Hi-Flow Mass Airflow sensor
Hi-Flow secondary fuel pump
Re-tuned factory ECU
Proprietary Electronic boost controller

Since i have to turn my A6 back to stock, would it possibly make sense to hold on to my K04's and mod them later to fit the application? JBuehn (sp?)<ul><li><a href="http://www.hpamotorsports.com/r32.htm">full page</a></li></ul>

Default wow...thats pricey

they used to charge 24K (in parts) to turn ANY golf chassis'd car into a 550HP monster. That included the euro VR6 engine, and the haldex/transmission which an R32 already has.

Default im thinking the prices are canadian? (at least i sure hope so :P)

i feel like a lot of those parts can be made to fit...if not better than what they offer.

i have a lot of research to do during the first half year-full year of ownership...so im sure ill come up with something cheaper and more beneficial...hopefully

Default yeah, i'd do some research before dumping 24K into the thing....

i'm sure its a great kit, but i'm assuming some research will do you good. There are other F/I kits out ther ei'm sure...just depends how much power you are tyring to make....

Default Takes alot of money to have the worlds fastest VW.

I dont know about 24K though. put some money with it and you could have 2 R32s.

Default this is true..but only a couple years ago SilverBullet had the fastest S4 around..

and that cost AWE plenty much for all the custom piping and intercooling etc.

now shelf-kits are putting that much power if not more with a little more tuning.

im guessing there will be at least 2-3 other t00ning companies with kits out by next year...im just trying to forsee far enough if any of my parts (ie. k04 turbos) would be useful in the R32's transformation from tame to tyrant.

Default Most likely early torque K04s

Sorry, just being a jackass. On an aside, a biturbo R32 is indeed expensive at $60,000 but if you consider what the car is capable of, it almost looks like a bargain. What other (new) car gets you into that league of performance for that kind of money? Corvette z06 I guess...

Default That is a very impressive car, We (Zev, Ari and I) took them at the drag race at "Dub-Wars" last

year.

I took a look at the HGP site and they have cast there own exhaust housings.
