Aftermarket warranty and Audi dealers - as the world turns...
Busted inner passenger side CV boot and loose drivers side tie rod joint.
Warranty company doesn't pay the $50 diagnostic fee (it takes $50 to see a busted boot and loose joint - right).
Audi only replace tie rods in pairs (ummm...why?)
Warranty company will only pay for a damaged or worn part ($70 for one tie rod joint).
Audi needs to perform an alignment after tie rod replacement. (Something that actually makes sense)
Warrany company doesn't cover the alignement ($100 on special from dealership - gee thanks).
Asked Audi to rotate the tires while you've got two of them off. ($20 bucks no matter what - Ok, I'll do it myself).
Total $220 plus tax. Thanks Audi. Thanks aftermarket warranty.
