friend just got a new mustang GT, we swapped cars for about 30 mins.. damn is that thing

SLOW AS *****. even though you can chirp the tires in 2nd gear, it feels like a grandmother. after we got out of the cars he said "damn i want a turbo" my car is stock(performance-wise), and it still felt a crapload faster than that hunk of plastic.

"felt faster"...turbo torque curves ramps up like a mother...

check the specs...i think the mustang GT is as fast or faster than a stock S4 6MT.

0-60 times are deceptive here. AWD vs. RWD. What about 1/4 et/trap?

I'm pretty sure the GT is actually fast this time around.

That car uses old technology .. doesn't it have a solid rear axle?! .. thats why its so cheap.

Maybe it needs to get broken in. Or he forgot to turn off the traction control.

It can reduce engine torque in addition to applying the rear brakes to keep spin under control. Regardless, the ones I've driven don't just chirp second, they get a little sideways.
