Default Problems with getting a chip?

I have a 2000 S4 with 62k miles. I have my oil changed every 3k miles. Im very close to buying an APR chip. However, im woundering if i'll begin to have problems with my car? Is it bad to get a chip at 62k miles?

Thanks

Gary

Default If this helps I just went stage III at 62,000mls

There is no problems getting a chip with your mileage especially with APR since its such a weaksauce chip to begin with.

what chip would you suggest? I live in Los Angeles, and heard that APR are the best for 91 octane.

Default It's a roll of the dice on the turbos...

Make sure your pressure side is in good condition... hoses, BPV's, TBB, F-Hose, etc.

Just keep in mind that if you chip it, you could lose your turbos more quickly than stock. That's a big could. If you're prepared for the worst, then you'll be just fine.

If you're scared or don't have the funds/resources for turbo replacement, then don't do it.

Default APR'd my '01 at 66,000 and doing fine...

replace your BPV valves, throw on a better TBB or Bi-pipe and continue on your merry way (to more mod's of course).

Default Well if you want power then GIAC if you want smoothness then APR

if you want anything in between then AMS or Revo. Where in LA do you live? Take a ride in my friends stage 2 giac and see how you like it and then decide.

Default The best thing to do for your turbos is use good synthetic oil which you

could safely use for much longer than your current 3,000 mile interval.
