No. Since the GT kit is twice as much as the K04 kits, it's hardly competition...

Default k04s themselves are definitely not going to drop; borg warner doesn't care if we use k04s or gt's

the other stuff may eventually go down, but most of it can be shared (except for programming and manis+inlets etc) between the kits anyway.

Default its not so much that as the fact that k04's are an import part. the price will not change

just do to competing turbos...the costs to get them will be the same. couple that along with the fact that people who sell k04's arent threatened by the gt kit due to price (just like you said)

I think the wholesale cost wont drop...but the retailer will probably lower their profit

Default eheh, you overestimate the retailer margin for k04s

vs the margin on fueling kits and software

Default pffft...it's not twice as much...

compare apples to apples...

ASP kit $13k, comparable AWE kit (which would have to include headers and dp's) is close to $10k...

not twice as much...

Default Most people are going to buy the "normal" RSK04 kit for $5500

Which doesn't require headers or downpipes past piggies. The GT kit requires their headers. Definately not apples to apples and I stand by my comment. The K04 kits aren't going to lose sales.
