Poll: Im looking for a project car...

Now that i have my S4 almost finished (for now) and a Honda Ridgline as a daily driver Im looking for a project car. I have moderate wrenching skills andd a lot of support from freinds who are very knowledgable. Im thinking of building an old water cooled VW or Porsche if i could find one. I have no intentions of building it for dragging or tracking, although it will prob eventually see a road course. My other idea was to build an old VW bus (no im not a hippie) and put a watercooled porsche motor in it. I would like to keep the vehicle cost under 5k and spend a year working on it. WWAWD

corrado G60 with a dead g-lader. shouldnt cost much over a grand.
