I not so recently (October) had the inevitable K03 turbo failure. The story of why it took almost 3 months to get my car back is a long one. I made the obvious decision to go with K04s and an upgraded clutch. After a few recommendataions, I ended up going with the Clutchmasters Stage III (FX300).

I purchased the clutch through Jared who was more than pleasent to deal with. Even better, when shipping was delayed after I ordered, I was upgraded from ground to 3-day air to make up the difference, at no charge.

I dealt with Mike from AWE for the inlet pipes, etc. Most communication was through email, but he was very fast to respond and also great to deal with.

Both the clutch and inlet hardware arrived on time and everything was as expected, although I had to dig a bit to find my blowpop.

The clutch is all broken in and feels good thus far. Although I'm not pushing it anywhere near its limits (I'm still on stock downpipes and APR K03 software). The catch point is a little higher than stock, but pedal feel is pretty similar to stock. The first 2 or 3 starts from a stop in 1st gear stutter a bit, but after that, the engagement is smooth.

I don't think I need to say this, but anyone that is waiting to go to K04s (or whatever upgrade you're considering), stop waiting and do it. Even in this un-tuned, stock downpipe limbo I'm temporarily in, the car feels great. I don't know if it's the time away from it making me think this, but it feels much, much faster than I expected it to at this stage (3--? ) I cannot wait to finish the upgrades. I love this car!
