Default I am looking at used set of Stoptech's from person X and he is a great guy who tracks his car a lot

The calipers have about 20 track days and about 30,000 miles. How long do stoptechs last for? and What is the going price for a set of 332's with this type of use with used rotor(5000mi, 6 tracks) but new lines and pads. The guy is a great guy and i will give him his asking price once my dad gives in. I just want to see what the price should be and how long these should last for with city driving and min. track use.

Default Here are my thoughts.....

To me, all used parts are worth half their new price. As for the used calipers, with that many track days, I would get the calipers rebuilt. Should only run a few hundred. The new rotors should be fine provided there is even wear and no cracks. To me, $800 is the most I would go.

FWIW...I just got new rotors for my BBK that was installed in Nov 2003. Had 4 events (8 days) in 2004 and the same in 2005. The rotors still have a few events left, but there is a ridge on the outer edge that makes pulling the pads harder. So I am changing early.

Default just replace the seals and bleed screws in teh caliper before you install...

...pads and rotors wear out, so their condition is only meaningful in teh price of the kit. look for tiny hairline cracks in the center of the disc face, that's a sign they are getting close to needing replacement.

if they're cross-drilled, then just look for cracks coming out of the holes.

As for the calipers, unless they were misused, they should go for a long time. Since they are coming out of the car, a good clean and seal replacement just makes sense. Seals and bleed screws are cheap.
