Covered under warranty???

I just noticed last night that my driver's side fog light is out on 5mth old 2.7T. Would that be covered under warranty? Thanks in advance.

It's covered if it just doesn't work. But, if it is broken, like by a rock, then no way it's a warranty item. But your auto insurance would cover, subject to deductibles that apply, if caused by an external object- collision or whatever. Your collision deductible is a lot higher than your comprehensive (other damage) deductible.

Thanks...it just stopped working...bulb must have blown...

Its my understanding that there only 1 rear fog light (left) and the fact that its red is the European std.

There is only one fog light in the back, fearless is right. Read your owners manual and you will

see it in black and white. The reason for the rear fog light is an additional warning to drivers approaching from behind. It is brighter and single so that drivers that see it know exactly that its a fog light. It is very rare to see cars with a single tail light out in Europe. In most countries, by law, drivers must have spare bulbs. Police pull drivers over immediately when they see a light out. If you don't have a spare you get a ticket. One of the many reasons driving on European highways is so great. Safety laws (signaling and staying to the right among many others) are strictly enforced and drivers are disciplined and skilled more so tha here.

The best is when I see cops pulling over jalopies with bald tires, broken tailpipes and hanging bumpers issuing moving violations. They should be issuing "never move that car" violations!
