Default Nemo Blue Pearl Effect on 2001 4.2

Well, I am back. I have decided to pursue the A6 4.2 even after a less than satisfactory experience with one dealership. I went to another dealership in the area and they seem to be straight shooters. I am going to get a 2001 model A6 4.2. I have the vehicle order guide, however, it is fairly incomplete. It has listed "Nemo Blue Pearl Effect" as an exterior paint color. I think it is a light blue, but I am not sure. Can anyone give any insight? My dealer says he can change an allocation and the car will be here in 70-80 days. Also, I know someone posted a more complete 2001 dealer guide sometime ago. I looked at the archives and couldn't find it. My dealer doesn't have it, for some reason. Could someone point me in the right direction? Other than the PPX "Premium Package", and making ESP standard, what other changes will there be for 2001? What will be the price increase? Thanks for any and all input. Glad to be back.

A while back, "Steve S." posted a picture of a Nemo Blue S6 from the Tokyo Auto Show (I think). The picture won't come up in the archives, but I remember seeing it. Does anyone know where this picture could be found?

I was the one who originally posted the order sheet for the 2001 2.7T. I found the URL in the archives, but for some reason the image I scanned in is now coming up as a broken link. And I know it was there before! Anyone know why? Is there a time limit on images posted where they can't be accessed after so many days?

https://www.audiworld.com/forum/m/a6/7496.phtml</a

Default Great Pix, do you have any others from the Tokyo Auto show?(more)

I am worried that this color will be too dark. Should I be? When I first ordered my MY2000, I ordered Melange. I really don't love the color,it is rather bland. However, I will now be getting a 2001, as that car fell through, due to a bad dealer. I want a color that will not show dirt and swirl marks too much. Are the pictures an accurate representation? The picture from the auto show looks lighter than the press release pictures. Any insight?

Default After seeing my brother's Nemo S6 on about seven or eight occasions…

…it looks to show dirt, dust, rain spots and so on about the same as my Nogaro Blue S4. While Nogaro is worse than my last car (silver) it's still manageable for living in Michigan.

As for color accuracy, Nemo has a little "flop" to it and the pearl/mica/metallic effect softens up the highlights and gives them an almost iridescent gray cast in bright sunlight. Just like the subtle pearl in Nogaro, I have never seen this iridescence captured in a photo. That said, the colors in the pictures are pretty accurate, especially the rear view.

I don't have any other photos of the Tokyo show car. I was there but didn't bother with a camera. I hate to admit it, but this picture of the Tokyo display car was pulled off the posted page when it first ran in the forum.
2000 Nogaro/Silver - S4

Default Nemo Blue is lighter than Ming Blue... but still kinda dark IMO

Maybe a light blue metallic paint which matches with the light blue interior will be a great combo!

I enjoyed our conversation this afternoon. Welcome back!!!! Hmmm... 70-80 days for your new 4.2. I will be quite jealous if you get your 4.2 before my 2.7T...
