About to Order a A6 4.2 and need some help!
After visiting the dealer last week, I noticed a 4.2 parked in the lot....but didn't notice if it had plates on it. I fell in love with the look of the car that "looked a pearl white with a melange interior". The dealer is trying to swap for one but thinks it was "casablanca white", is this the same color, or is the pearl special order that is not listed in the Audi brochure? The Audi brochure lists a sport package option for the 2.7T but not the 4.2, so I requested the 17" wheels. Is there a sport package available on the 4.2? Does anyone have any pic's of a casablanca white or the pearl white in a 2.7T or 4.2.... I could really use some help?

we have an A6 Avant in Casablanca white/ melange interior... I wasn't aware the A6's can come in pearlescent white, even though I have seen it on A4's and A8's.. I am looking at the 2000 catalog for the A6 and do not see the pearlescent white offered.. Perhaps they are offered on the 2001's..
In the past I remember pearlescent white was offered as a special order item where the dealer charged an extra $1,000 or so.. Pearlescent is more of a vanilla cream texture, where as the casablanca white is more of a pure snowy texture.. I have yet to have see an A6 in this pearlescent color, but maybe I just haven't looked around hard enough, or maybe they are just very rare... I wish I had a picture of my car but unfortunately I don't.. Sorry..

People on this board have ordered pearl white A6's - it is a special order with a cost around $1200. The color name is very descriptive - it looks like a pearl - sort of an opalescent depth to the color. It is quite distinctive and very attractive.

The 4.2 does have a sport package. Check out AudiUSA.com (go to A6 4.2 then Features & Specs, then See all Features & Specs).

Also, go to Build your Audi and check the options. The Sport package is $1750 and includes the 17" wheels. Or you can order just the wheels for $750.
