Sport package wheels and tires for sale...
I'll be picking up my new A6 PSK on Sunday 4-16.
I've had the wheels replaced by the dealer, so I'll have a set of sports wheels with Goodyear Eagles NCT3 tires, absolutely new, for sale. These, I understand from previous postings, are ultra high performance tires (Y rated = 186mph).
I'm in Los Altos, CA, and I'll be driving the car from Santa Ana, CA on Sunday. If you happen to be more or less in the way I'd be happy to drop them on my way north. Send email if interested.

Frank, I got BBS RCs 17x8, bright silver, with Bridgestones S-02 Pole Position 235/45. The wheels weight 18lbs. For looks alone I would have chosen Ronal R28s, but they are way heavy (28lbs) and come only in 17x8.5, a tad too wide for a 235 tire IMO (Gary@Ronal suggested 245/45 tires, but that's 1.6% oversized). Anyway, I saw a picture of an A6 with the BBS wheels (look at page 2 of this forum for "Are these wheels BBS RC") and I liked them. They are fairly expensive, though. The set of four plus the SmartTire system, plus antitheft bolts run ~$3100.

Similar debate...
I'm ambivalent about the wheels. Intially I hated them, now I think they're OK. I am happy about the tires (SP9000s), but look forward to moving to 17" wheels.
What I'm planning to do is drive these wheels until the fall, then replace the tires with snows and drive them until spring - at which time I'll move to 17" wheels. This gets me almost a year on the 16" wheels/tires and into 17" wheels.
