Communicated w/Car & Driver re: $40k Comparo
The author, Frank Markus, was out of town when he responded to my e-mail, but said he would check the window sticker (if he still had it) when he returned to his office "next week". If it helps, he said they tested the car "second week in February". If I remember correctly, I think PSK's started getting made in December, so from a timeline standpoint it's possible their test car WAS a psk. I'll post as soon as he responds back to me.

The wheels look identical to the wheels on the 2.7T with PSK that I test drove about 1 month ago before settling on a 4.2 with the sport package. What do you think the wheels should look like Jack?

Time line sounds about right...
although it will be interesting to know for sure. It appears, from the one static photo in C&D of the 2.7 T, that the tires may follow the contour of the wheel wells as a PSL car does. The tires seem to be much higher (1-1.5 inch) into the wheel well on the PSKs.

I've got 3 on altogether...
and am planning my 4th coat of the Z5 (surface scratch remover) this weekend. Sorry I haven't posted pics as I promised, but I can't seem to finish that stupid roll of film. Plus, at this point I don't think anyone really cares, as many PSK photos have already appeared.

The ship docked in San Diego some time last week and the truck arrived in SF BayArea on Tuesday. Because of paperwork, I'll probably pick it up next Monday/Tuesday.
