A6-Turbo chip

Does anyone have experience in chipping their A6 2.7Turbo with MTM, TAP , or any other comparable company? also, does MTM have an official web site?

Been driving my 2.7T for 10 weeks with the WETT 1.0 bar,. I switched back last night to the stock for 8k service. There is a difference.

I haven't chipped yet because my car isn't here yet. But, I intend to. MTM has a Web site. It is a German made chip whose programmers supposedly have access to codes direct from Audi. Some people socket their chips-(Wett and Garrett, I believe) which makes it easier to change back if desired. Others (APR and TAP don't socket so far as I know. Which is best? Who knows---?

I have a Garret chip in my 00 2.7TM. Very happy so far after 2k miles. I posted info on this a while ago if you want to search the archives.

I can only assume that with all this talk about chipping, that it won't void the warranty. True? I seem to recall the salesman mentioning chipping when I took one for a test drive.

Apparently AoA found a 2.7T for me, still in Germany and just getting onto the boat. So I'm still 5 weeks away from delivery. I don't mind the wait (can't complain I guess since I won it). This would be my 3rd Audi, my first was a 1974 Audi 100, then a 1985 5x5 coupe.

Seems like the short shift kit and a chip kit cost nearly the same... which should I get first?

The shifter, I think. You probably want to break in your car before chipping it anyway.

BTW, it is my impression that chipping will void most warranties...
