Default Aftermarket Brake Pads for 2.7T...

Anybody have any luck finding aftermarket pads for the 2.7T? I've checked with Mintex and Performance Friction and neither company offers an application. Mintex claims that they are a few months out and the person at PF didn't even try to venture a guess. I'm trying to get in touch with Pagid but so far, it doesn't look too good. I'm sick of my wheels constantly looking dirty. Thanks in advance...

I remember somebody posting the fact that after x number of miles the accumulation decreases. Although I'm no expert, any pad that produces very little dust is made of a very hard compound which may cause accelerated rotor wear. It's pretty easy to get to a product manager/technical specialist at one of the major brake companies, ie. Wagner (Federal Mogul), Raybestos (Brake Parts/Dana) or Bendix (now Honeywell). Each company offers a "good and better" product offering and I'll bet that they either have it available already or will very soon.

I purchased a Rain-x product that I haven't used yet that's supposed to make rinsing/washing the wheels easier by creating a chemical protective coating. Even if it allows for quick rinses between full washes it might be worth considering.

Has anyone looked into Repco (Metal Master)? I have used them on another car and I like them a little better than Mintex.

A couple of friends of mine with S4's use Porterfield pads for racing. They say they're so loud, you really can't use them on the street. I think they're the only aftermarket pads so far. I have over 13,000 miles on my 2.7T now, and there's a lot less dust, then when new.
