Eibach Anti roll set and turbo pressure leak
The anti roll set that is listed on Tirerack's site is not going to be available until at least the middle of May. Eibach America has no information at all about it. The person I spoke to at Eibach said that many of the Anti roll sets for the Audi's only include a front bar but he did not no if this would be the case on the 2.7t. He suggested calling in 3 weeks because he gets his new info from Eibach Germany once a month.
This past weekend I went to the Audi driving school in Pahrump and on one occation I got on the car really hard and at about 120mph it started to surge badly and wouldn't go past 125mph. I backed off on the throttle and then accelerated a bit mor slowly and this time I was able to hit 140mph while still accelerating pretty well (I got nervous and slowed down at this point). As the weekend progressed the car got weaker and weaker but always seemed to idle well and run OK. I checked the hoses as best I could without tools and found nothing so I took it to Lasher Audi in Sacramento. I also brought them a printout of a post from the S4 forum about a split Y hose.
The computer told them that there was a pressure leak in the intake system but the mechanic said he would have never found it without the info from AudiWorld. It so happens that the Audi rep was at Lasher while this was going on. They asked why there is no bullitin on the Y hose if Audi was aware enough of the problem that they have redesigned the part but he didn't know and Audi America didn't have an answer either. They are Fedex ing the part to my dealer so I will be running again tomorrow.
I thought I would let everyone know that this problem can be insideous. The car ran fine for the most part it just didn't have the power I was used to. I even wondered if I was just imagining that there was a problem.
One other thing, the mechanic found that some holes in the body that are used to tie the car down during shipping had not been plugged prior to delivery and this was causing some wind noise inside the car.
