Bought an A6 4.2 today - What a car!!!
Today I traded in my '00 A6 2.8 and my TT Roadster (which I just bought 2 weeks ago) for a new Silver/Onyx A6 4.2 plus lots of cash back (which I'll most likely need now that the market has fallen). I absolutely LOVE this car.
It's equipped with the 17" pie pan" style alloy wheels, Xenons, and the Cold Weather Package. Sticker price was $51,150, and I was able to get the car for a discount of $3500 off MSRP. Coupled with the fact that the dealer gave me only $2000 less than I paid on the A6 2.8 4 months ago and actually gave me $1000 MORE than I paid for the TT 2 weeks ago, and I'm one happy camper.
I've been watching this Board for some time now, and now I know what all the excitement is about.

Decided to sell the TT Roadster because...
...I also own a yellow Plymouth Prowler and a new Mercedes CLK430 Cabriolet. I always knew that when the TT Roadster came in (I put my deposit down on 4/21/99) that I'd only be able to keep 2 of my 3 "toys", and the TT unfortunately lost out. Had it been a 225 Quattro, the Prowler may have been gone instead. The TT is a nice car, but 180 hp is not nearly enough, in my opinion.
