S6 Delayed

Looks like Audi is spending some time getting things right with the S6 before introduction, probably next year before we see it. FYI the S8 will be in this country this year. Should be in the 380-440HP range. One last note, saw a TT Roadstertoday in Houston(Damn Cool).

What is the 380-440hp engine on the S8?

Is that a N/A V8 or a turbocharge 40V V8?

Not sure at this point, but I would speculate a V8 with twin bit turbo's. Oh yeah it is a 6Spd!! Sweet.

No S8 turbo V8 just yet ..

I had a chance to see at Mc Donold Audi in Denver, Colorado, a S8 here for altitude emissions testing. This was in 10/99. The car was being shipped back to Audi in Germany. It was speculated then by present AoA emloyee's that the S8 was being prepared for the US market. The test car was a S8 4.2 V8 with German tags. No turbos .. The S8 in Germany has 360 HP.

I would guess to get a HP number of 380 to 440 would involve some type of twin turbo. If Audi could squeeze out 380-400 out of the 4.2, It would be interesting. I really like the fact that this vehicle is a 6spd. I here it will be here this year.
