How to find 1995 A6 Quattro maintenance schedule?
Details:
I've been told that for a '96 Audi A6 Quattro:
1) Audi recommends timing belt change at 90k miles
2) Several experience people recommend changing the belt at 60k regardless of what Audi says
I have an extended warranty whose underwriter says they will cover the full cost of a timing belt replacement if the manufacturer recommends a change during the lifetime of the warranty.
Here's the kicker: the warranty is in effect from 67k to 91k miles.
Therefore, if I can get proof in writing that Audi recommends a 90k-mile (or any mileage within the above, covered range) timing-belt change, my warranty covers the full cost of the change. Otherwise, I get nothing.
My problem: I can't find a maintenance schedule from Audi, something that I could hopefully use as my 90k-mile "proof." I recently purchased the car from a private seller, and the manual set the previous owner gave me doesn't appear to have this information. (There exists an Owner's Manua which doesn't appear to have the info; I can't find a "Maintenance Manual" anywhere.)
What can I do?
