The remote keys
I've only had mine for about 2 months, but I don't see any sign of imminent breakage. If you're threading a standard key ring directly onto the Audi key, I'd agree with FrankC that you're asking for trouble. I don't know if my key arrangement (with the swivel) is "standard" or something my dealer does? It seems to work well though.<p>Richard

I do. Been fine for 5 months so far. Now if my keys didn't hit the center console when I turned left...

The dealer claimed that the small ring is too thin. For $6 american you can buy
the swivel part from the dealer.
Be aware, that if you spread the key fob too far apart during the installation of the new swivel the batteries inside will lose contact resulting in the key fob having to be re-programed. That will require both keys and the car take a trip to the dealer. Unless you have a great dealer which will walk you through it over the phone.
One other suggestion. I trimmed off a small piece of black electrical tape, sealing both sides of the key fob together (at the point of failure) This solved the problem prior to the swivel purchase.
