Default Warm weather package

I purchased a fully loaded 2000 2.7 T including the warm weather package since I liked the color combination (Silver/Maroon). I initially thought the warm weather package was a waste of money. As the weather has warmed in Los Angeles, I am already understanding the benefits. The car is always kept rather cool even after sitting in the sun for an extended period. This is great when you have pershiables in the car while parked. It also allows the air conditioning to cool the car quickly upon return to the parked car. The side and rear sun shades are neat and I receive a lot of favorable comments. I am sorry to hear that this option has been deleted for 2001. I would recommend this option to anyone in a warm weather area.

Default $880

invoice, required $1452 convenience pkg.

I also have found this to be a great feature. I was skeptical at first, but it addresses a problem that's always annoyed me. Turns out it works very well. It appears to work by using the solar cells to power the A/C fans, which circulate outside air (without the compressor running, of course). The interior isn't cold, but it's not warmer than ambient, which is a great improvement.
