We have no problems selling every Avant we can get. (24K ? What Allroad would that be ?)
Audis actually sell much better in the snow-belt. Go to Aspen and most vehicles will be Subaru, Range Rover, and Audi. Altitude ( turbos )and slippery surfaces make our cars a logical choice.
Obviously Audi needs to hit it big with the majority. The Allroad will likely be available in numbers matching the current Avant - 1 to 2 per month. I would imagine that there are contingency plans if the car really takes off. In a way it is a halo car like the TT.
Many people that I speak to, dislike SUVs intensely. They are fine if you really do use them as intended, but all too often they are being used as wagons at best. Just buy a proper wagon !

IF we don't get the S4 Avant here, I'm going to stuff an Alfa 24 valve Q motor in the nose of a regular Avant.

I'm a happy A6 2000 Avant owner of two weeks. Live in the DC area, and watch the enthusiast posts about 2.7Tand 2.8 power with interest.
I'm very pleased with the power I can get from my 2.8, and pleasantly surprised at response off the mark, and when needed on the open road or on two lane roads. SO I'm curious how that might degrade at higher elevations, where you seem to be located. Can you fill me in?

I agree. There are <i>tons</i> of Audis up here in New England (Boston Area, at least), including my new 2.7T! Just turned 1,000 miles old!
