Land of the A6 Avant
I went up to the Presidio in San Francisco to play golf today.
I saw at least 4 A6 Avants in that area today. I wouldn't have guessed there were that many in the Bay Area. I've seen probably one per three months here in Silicon Valley.
I also saw many A6 Sedans also, all 2.8s. I did see one A6 2.7T down here in Silicon Valley, my 4th ever (including my own, not including cars on the lot).
A6's don't seem to be selling here in Silicon Valley, but up in SF they are all over the place. I guess it appeals to the type of person who lives in SF (older types) and less to the Silicon Valley folks (20 somethings).

I live in the Marina District of S.F. (near the Presidio) and have a 2.7T on order. Up the hill in Pacific Heights someone attached to one of the Embasy's has a forest green S6 Avant, that I drive by every day.

How are the new greens at Presidio? Are they running fast?
btw, i live down in the Marina, and I too see many A6 2.8 Avants--for the soccer moms. I also see a relatively high amount of S4s (4) for the area.

S4s, greens
I responded to this before and my post disappeared!
I found the S4 level lower than the South Bay. We have a ton of them down here. I did see one or two.
The course is okay. The greens are great. One is marred by water runoff, but the other 17 were fantastic.
All were very fast, close cut and true.
However, the t-boxes were in moderate shape, and the fairways are lousy. They are worse than my local Muni down here.
The snobbery of the staff is keeping up with the greens fees, but I think they are ahead of themselves. This course has some way to go before it deserves the $72 fees it charges.
I expect it to be improved more of course.
