Nemo Blue 2001 A6 4.2 w/ Melange or Onyx interior?
getting closer,
Gary
Matched with Nemo and with the tinted glass, the Melange takes on a kind of pasty green tinge. What is normally a pretty nice color ends up looking like bad window putty in a Nemo car.
2000 Nogaro/Silver - S4

Regardless, I wasn't fond of the Melange. Tungsten, on the other hand, might be a pretty good combo in the event you can't live with an interior as dark as Onyx.
2000 Nogaro/Silver - S4

I too like the silver best (w/S6), I asked my dealer in Seattle, WA and he said no way (even at an extra cost).
I'm not as sure of the melange with nemo. I do like melange with ming blue. Do you feel the ming blue is incompatable with the melange or is it just with nemo that you do not like the combo?
BTW, is nemo a lighter compaired with ming? Is it a blue/gray/green (mostly blue gray) color all mixed together?
Gary
First off, let me say that, like Nogaro blue, I have yet to see a photo of a Nemo car that accurately captures the color. The S6s tested in Auto Motor und Sport as well as Autocar last year were Nemo. Neither magazine's snaps were really representative of the color. Nevertheless, here are a couple of photos that may help.
In both you can see the travel the color possesses. The photo on the left was taken at the Tokyo show last year and the noted areas are about as light as Nemo gets. In artificial light the color lights up to the gray side and looses color intensity. Very sophisticated, nicht wahr? While in sunlight (the photo on the right, the blue becomes more intense. The highlighted areas are good examples of the intensity of the blue in natural light. As available light gets brighter, the transition between lightness and darkness becomes much more pronounced (Duh!).
With the choice of Melange, Onyx and Tungsten with Nemo in the States, I don't think you could go wrong with either of the latter colors. But I'd avoid Melange with the potential gray overtone that I've seen Nemo exhibit. Put simply, if you could live with the Ming/Melange AND Cashmere/Melange AND Silver/Melange combinations, Nemo/Melange would probably work for you.
I just think it's the fourth choice out of four combinations. Nemo/Silver, unavailable though it may be, is still the hottest… meebe when the S6 lands here.
2000 Nogaro/Silver - S4
