CLOSE CALL WITH A MORON!! (long)
Warning: Persons with high blood pressure should not read this story. ;-)
When going to the store yesterday to get some groceries for my Mom's party I had a very close call with one of those jacked up Fords. I live in Texas so everyone drives trucks down here and some of them think their trucks are sports cars. So I was on a 45mph street and some guy speeds up to me on my side like he wanted to race. I just ignored him but he kept on revving and looking at me. I didn't feel very comfortable next to his 50'' tiers that were getting close to me (I think he was drunk or something)!! I finally braked hard and slowed behind him and parked behind a cop and he sped away. I gave the cop the description and he said he was on it (yah right). Oh well at least that guy left me alone. It was really a close call, his enormous tiers almost stomped my beautiful aluminum body to the ground. Scared me to death. Hope it doesn't happen to any of you!

That's okay...
we only JUST stopped calling cup holders "BEER holders." IF it is illegal, it is only illegal in the sense that a cop might make you pour it out. This may seem lax, but just like everywhere else, there is no toloration for DWI here.
However, I would advise that you stay away from all pickups, dualies, monster trucks, El Caminos, SUVs, anything with a lift kit, anything with monstor M+S tires on it, old men with hats, anybody with a cowboy hat, anything with a trailer hitch, women with big hair, anybody with a small cellphone, and especially any combination of the above (SUV + big haired woman + small cellphone = TROUBLE!!!). Unfortunately, that describes most of the drivers in this state. Damn.

I didn't take it as a dis...
I'm still amused by many Texan laws that only recently came off the books! Many of those "wacky" laws had been repealed within recent memory of folks back when I was at school in Texas. E.g. landowner could shoot trespassers if s/he posted a sign to that effect every X feet along fenced property. Hmmm, I wish that one were in effect in CO some days!<p>Richard
