JP4: Are still at 1 wheel and counting?
I am starting to give the Oettingers some serious consideration because they are considerably lighter and they looked awesome on the silver 4.2 I watched them get mounted on. I just dont know what to do :-/
I have examined closely the TT version of the PSK wheel you and I have ordered at my dealer. I doubt there will be much weight difference, if any between the "pie plate" and the PSK wheel. The spokes have more air between them, but they are thicker too. They have a beautiful finish to them though, even if they could have been polished more smoothly.
Man, what should we do? The parts supply (and even the vehicle) issue is "beginning to reach critical mass" to quote my dealers sales manager. Audi's sales are so good so soon that they are finding themselves somewhat unprepared. Their vendors are playing serious catch-up apparently. In fact, the general manager of my dealership sent all of their customers a blanket 10% discount certificate for use in the parts or service department. No $ limit or time limit! It was accompanied by a letter explaining the problems they are having with parts supply. It was a preemptive strike to keep us gratified with them in case we ever have serious delay in a repair or part request. Naturally, they are letting me apply it the PSK wheels.
In the meantime I have a little more info on the wheel situation that I'd like to share with you but would prefer to do it via private e-mail.
