US Nav CD ROM in Euro NavPlus system...
The system simply told me "Can not read CD ROM data".
I did some research in the hexadecimal code of that CD ROM and I could verify that there was some german text included in different files. However I could not confirm that the US Nav data is being produced by Teledata (normal source for Europe).
At least we can answer the question if it's possible to replace the US Nav system with the NavPlus from Europe: NO it isn't...
Reason I ask is that sometimes there are funny file order issues or special track information on CDs that get copied by an image copy but not by a file copy. If Dion just ZIPed his CD then you might not be able to burn a CD which would work in a US system either... Perhaps all hope is not yet lost?<p>Richard

the only way that this work is by doing CD Image.
Straight FILE COPY never work on this kind of disc.
Please Please send him the iso image.. and then zip it. I have done it successfully with PSXCopy 5.0/6.0 the best iso backup i found.
Let me know dion, if you have problem i can take over and work with ernst on ISO. email me. i dont check this board often. but have been able to know about Ernst great volunteering as i am interested in NAV Plus on S4 also(a friend did it already just using the TV feature only w/o any GPS rigging.)
Let me know what you want to do me exactly and what sort of software I need (almost sure that I already have it). BTW I'm an electronics/computer engineer by education (but holding a mangement position since long time...).
