Regarding US Nav CDs...
From whom do you order them? I thought they were made by navtech.com, but they don't list Audi.
Is there a site identifying the regions somewhere?<p>

I ask because...
my car is being delivered to Virginia where we live now, but we'll be moving to Seattle before it's actually delivered. We'll be flying back to Virginia to pick up the car and drive it back to Seattle, and I'd like to have the CDs we'll need for the trip beforehand, or at least shipped with the car.<p>

To go from Virginia to Seattle, you would need four/five discs to cover the trip. You need Dics 8 in Virginia, Disc 6 through west Virginia, Ohio and Indiana, Disc 5 if you wonder into Illinois, Disc 3 through Nebraska and/or South Dakota and finally Disc 2 to get you home.

Is Missouri on disc 5 as well?
The plan is to take:
64 from Richmond to St. Louis (VA/WV/KY/IN/IL/MO)
70 to Kansas City (MO)
29 to Sioux Falls (MO/IA/SD)
90 to Seattle (SD/WY/MT/ID/WA)
How does the system handle routings across CD boundaries? Or does it at all?
Yeah, I know the CDs are (ridiculously) expensive, but if I'm buying the nav system, I might as well enjoy it. So unless anyone wants to loan me a few CDs...

No, Missouri is on Disc 3. According to you routing, you will not need Disc 5.
The Nav does not handle crossing CD boundaries. Your destination must be on the disc in the Nav in order for it to figure out what the coordinates are for you destination. So, until you cross into the region cover by the disc all you would get is the direction and distance info. I live right at the boundary of Disc 7 & 8 and I have to swap back and forth all the time.
I also have Disc 6. Drop me a line at HowFLee@aol.com we might work something out....
