2001 A6 2.7T -- anyone know prices or how 2001 will be different from 2000?
I ordered a 2.7 T (melange/melange) but dealer said prices not available yet and neither is how 2001 will differ from 2000? Is there a date when this data will be released?

Ordered a 2.7T on Saturday. The dealer had just gotten in a price sheet. The 2001 had a price increase of about 500 dollars from last year. The biggest difference in options is that leather seats are now offered with the Sunroof, homelink and memory seats as one package for a price of about 2400 invoice to 2900 MSRP. Can't get leather or sunroof separately anymore. The 2001 gets a 4/50000 warranty with 4/50000 scheduled maintenance but otherwise don't think there are any differences.<p>RBK

Do you have the exact base price for the 2001 2.7t ? MSRP and Invoice?
It would be nice to have as my car is in production, or done hopefully. My dealer doesn't have this info yet. Since my deal was done as $1700 over invoice, I'd like to figure what I'll be paying out. Thanks in advance for the info.

I don't remember the exact base price but it was about 35,000 plus the 525 destination charge for a total of 35,525, give or taker a few dollars. The salesman told me it was about 500 over the base on the 2000 model.<p>RBK

This makes me glad I cancelled my 2000 order and waited for the 2001. ESP and an extra year warranty coverage, 4 year 50,000 for 2001. Definitely worth the extra $500 or so. I wonder when my dealer will have this info? It's funny but back in early April an AoA client relations person told me the price increase for the 2001 2.7t was rumored to be about $500.
