Anyone got experience with the Factory phone for a 00' A6?...

I've got the factory installed phone in my 00 4.2 A6. Now when the car was delivered we were told that we would have to sign up with a cell carrier and then bring the car back to the dealer to get the phone actually working. Well it turned out that the cell carrier (Rogers AT&T) people could program the phone codes (NAM I guess) and it would work. This was done and the phone does work fine BUT the steering wheel controls for the phone do not work. I looked in the book and it said that "NAME PREFERENCE" had to be on and it is on, so I'm a bit stumped on why the buttons aren't working. Does the dealer still need to program something into the car?

word is those buttons don't work on US (analog phone)

What a waste, that makes them totally useless.

Sorry to hear again from those buttons not working in the US. However they are fully functional in Europe (I have a digital Nokia 3110 as factory installed option in my 4.2 '00). I can't beleive that Audi is not able to make them working in the US...?
