2000 vs 2001 A6 2.7T

Planning on picking up a 2.7T - I can't decide whether to get the 2000 (and satisfy my craving for immediate gratification) or order the 2001 and wait. I went to Don McGill in Houston and the salesman said that the 2000 Sport package included the wheels and seats, but did not have any suspension mods - he said that the 2001 included suspension mods. From reading this forum, it seems that the PSK option included suspension mods. Is there any truth to this?<p>Soon to be

PSK (newer) = seats/wheels/suspension, PSP (older) = seats/wheels

Incredible that someone who is going to try to sell you a $40,000 plus car and doesnt even know WTF he is talking about! Go to another dealer.

That IS a stupid salesman. You can tell by the price. The old package without suspension upgrade was $750. The PSK includes suspension for $1000.

Hey guys, easy on the dealer bashing!

He was completely correct in what he told audi-doody. The 2000 does NOT have the supsension mods. The 2001 does. Since this is what he told audi-doody, I can't see what the dealer did or said that was wrong!

PSP = 2000
PSK = 2001

Later MY2000 cars can have the PSK package - including the suspension mods. Many (all?) of the PSK owners here have 2000 cars, myself included.

Check out Momentum Audi (Richmond at Kirby). I have had better luck with the service department there. Also, when I looked at trading in my 2.8 for a 2.7t, they were pretty straight with me in terms of costs. Sales guy actually talked me out of the trade!
