1998 A6 and cell phones

Hello, I have been exploring cellular options for my A6. I have a phone from a previous vehicle, but I don't really want to bastardize the car to install it.

My question(s): Does anyone know where to get an "official" Audi car phone that is not ridiculously priced? I have been told that the Motorola SE II Mobile will work fine, but I've read conflicting reports. Ideally, I love a phone that takes advantage of the built in functions (radio kill & speaker audio) that the Audi has. Are there any cellular alternatives? I'd buying a "car" phone.

Any information appreciated, and I do plan using hands-free......

The car is prewired for a Motorola cellphone. You can purchase any 'bagphone', install the main unit in the trunk (behind LHS panel), then fit the handset into the armrest, connecting via the 'telephone' connector at the inside rear of the compartment. The antenna should be prewired for the cellphone also. Dig into the trunk LHS panel to find all the bits and pieces. The radio mute does not function with this phone, but handsfree is OK.
