A6 Avant Roof Rack

I have a '96 Audi A6 Avant (Wagon) w/factory roof rails.

I am looking for a roof rack for bicycles, skiis and other "stuff".

Conciderations :

1) Must attach securly to car.
2) Must be able to secure bikes/skiis to rack
3) Prefer fork mount bike rack w /short trayas this makes rack install/removal easier.
4) Ease of installation/removal of rack fromcar and changing
rack accessories.
5) Streamlined appearance of rack on vehicle.
6) Sturdy construction and correct fit for vehicle.

I am concidering Thule, Yakima, and Saris.

I would appreciate any feedback on the strengths/weakness of various models on the A6 Avant.

Thule strongly recommended over options by my bike dealer. Just got the cross bar connections, and plan to use with canoe attachment I had with Thule rack for my last car -- Saab 9000 CSE.

Attaches firmly and easily, and comes with locks.

Look in your MyAudi Accessories Catalogue, too. But when I went to the dealer with the part #, the parts person said they use Thule, and suggested I go there.
