Rear ended

Last night while sitting at a light, I glanced into the rear view mirror and saw a white Blazer coming at me way, way too fast. I had just enough time to stomp harder on the brakes and get my head back against the headrest before...WHAM.

Perfect weather, no excuse, just a new driver going too fast and not paying attention.

The bad news is that everything not bolted down went flying. The good news is that the damage was incredibly minimal. A few smudges, a scratch or two, nothing really noticeable. That rear bumper is surprisingly tough!

I would've had to go through the three cars in front of me...

I was more worried about not being sandwiched. It was obvious I was getting smacked in the rear; I didn't want the front to suffer the same treatment.

Ah well, no real harm done.

You are luckier than I was. Last December, just before Xmas, I was about to turn into my driveway across traffic. I was stopped, with my blinker on. As I started to accelerate into my driveway a 17 year old kid slammed into me. Luckily, no one was hurt. His truck was totalled. My 6 week old 2.7T was not...but it took 3 months and 15K of his insurance company's money to fix. The delay was due to Audi parts availability. Bottomm line...the car appears to be unaffected.
