2001 A6 Leasing Dealer vs Car Order.com
Car Order has the 2000 prices but quoted an estimated lease at $617.00. They do not at present offer leases but offer the info for comparison purposes. It looks like the Price for the car is $42,411 at Car Order and around 45,000 at the dealer. This, however, still does not make up for the difference in the lease cost. I know the 2001's are more expensive but I wonder how much. I think if Car order starts offering leases at the rates they quote, it may be quite a good deal. Interest in both places is about 8%. I don't know if the estimated residual value would be the difference. I really like the dealer but wonder if a lease can be negotiated like a sale. They claim they are going through Audi. Also, if I order the car, they will not guarantee what the lease price will be when it arrives.
Any ideas?

Assumes no down. Does not allow for any additional fees such as advertising, bank stuff, luxury tax etc. 1st payment or registration.
The 55% is a guess I know for 48 months it was 51%. I used Calif sales tax.
The .00245 mf was a special rate that may have ended. April would now.
I'll double check my numbers but I think I'm close.
Sure all leases are negotiable, but there are a lot more traps for the unwary than in a straight purchase.
I think Edmunds has some good lease tips.
Good luck.

Approx 2100 to 2200 dollars, unless you roll some of the fees into cap cost. Alot of options are available.
Within certain parameters, a lease is as negotiable as a purchase. The numbers that can be played with include cap cost, residual and money factor. However, residual and money factor are set by the leasing company, so realistically the dealer can only move on their selling price, and you know how they love to do that ....
