Intercooler hose - right on, moyles

My "engine stumble" (see earlier post) turned out to be a leaking intercooler hose (just as moyles guessed) and a bad exhaust gas temperature gauge. I'm curious to know about how often the intercooler problems happen. It seems to have happened to moyles twice, and I've seen it mentioned in the S4 forum.

Anyway, now I have to figure out how to get my car back from Virginia. Anyone know a cost-effective way to transport a car? Is there a 007 option for the 2.7T whereby I can use my palm pilot to drive it remotely? I know, I know, see the FAQ for instructions

Good to hear no big problem. Back on my 1.8T (with 240HP) went to non-stock clamps. I think this is caused by simply a turn or two short by the factory as we havent chipped YET. Maybe the dealer went to other clamps also I dunno. As for Nomad, anything beyond a quarter inch of gas pedal gave bucking that you thought would have the airbags blasting off! Maybe you should have your clamps tightened as a prevention? Steve.
